Port rearrangement and new mooring line in the Port of Adra

In order to respond to the activity of Adra’s fishing fleet, it was decided to rearrange the port spaces, concentrating the fishing activity in the western area and freeing up a large part of the port for sports and port-city integration.

 To carry out this rearrangement of port spaces, a new fishing dock was designed, consisting of a new wharf for mooring larger vessels, attached to the back of the west closing dike, a working esplanade and a jetty for mooring smaller vessels that are currently scattered around the port.

The new dock has a total length of 237.71 m, which allows to generate a working area of 5,680 m² for the entire fishing fleet of Adra. It is executed with submerged concrete founded on a 2.50 m thick 150 kg breakwater bench excavated into the seabed.

The new pontoon, which is 75.21 m long and 4 m wide, is supported by 10 supports consisting of a foundation slab, two 2.82 m high piles and a lintel. Prefabricated honeycomb plates with 8.30 m spans rest on the lintel and form the pontoon deck.
