Ensuring Accessibility to Residents

The project consists of the rehabilitation of 80.3 km of streets and roads.

It is carried out in 8 villages located in the province of Chiriquí. For the most part, the project involves the rehabilitation and paving of unpaved roads which, due to their poor condition, prevented residents from accessing basic services.

The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate the road network in the region, in order to provide greater safety and accessibility to residents, and thus contribute to the integration of the region with the rest of the country.

To improve mobility conditions, the route is raised, the roads are paved with asphalt or double surface treatment and the construction of 9 vehicle bridges and 26 rainwater caissons is planned, providing the entire infrastructure with a drainage network with paved ditches.

The project is completed with the construction of pedestrian sidewalks and signposting.
