New access to the Technological Campus of San Agustín de Guadalix

The work consisted of drafting a section of bidirectional service road in order to give access to the new Iberdrola Training Campus, on the left side of the A-1 Burgos highway: connection between the San Agustín de Guadalix roundabout (km point 34+000) and the training campus.

The service road has two 3.50-meter-wide lanes, with a 1.00-meter-wide shoulder and roadside on the left side (next to the highway) and a 3-meter-wide bikeway and 2-meter-wide sidewalk on the right side, providing access to pedestrians and cyclists.

The surface is designed for T31 traffic, made up of 12 cm of HBM (divided into 6 cm of surface course with bituminous mixture type AC22 surf S and 6 cm of binder course with bituminous mixture type AC22 bin S) and 22 cm of soil-cement, on an E-3 terrace.

The project includes the replacement of existing services, including electrical and communication lines and gas pipelines.

The project is completed with ecological, aesthetic and landscape planning works, signaling, beaconing and defenses and complementary works (fencing, demarcation milestones and lighting). As this is a newly constructed road, there is no need for temporary traffic diversions.
