«Red Vial No. 04». Lima and Trujillo connected

The project for the Construction of the Second Roadway of the «Red Vial No. 4» begins at the Diversion to Puerto Salaverry (Junction Route 01N) and ends in the town of Pativilca, in the Northern Pan-American Highway, corresponding to Route 01N, with a length of 283.58 km.

Section 1 begins at km point 450+000, located in the north exit of the Santa Bridge, and ends at km point 557+200 at the detour to Puerto Salaverry. The section has an approximate length of 91.78 km in double track, and is only interrupted for the construction of the Bypass road of Virú.

Section 2 begins at km point 381+820, which corresponds to the exit of the future northbound Bypass road of Casma, up to km point 416+130. This last progressive stretch corresponds to the beginning of the Bypass road of Chimbote (not part of the project), located south of the town of the same name. After an interruption of 32.51 km, the track continues from the progressive km point 448+640 at the exit of the Bypass road of Chimbote to km point 450+000, in the vicinity of Puente Santa. This section has a double track length of 35.67 km.

Section 3 starts at km point 299+100 at the northern exit of the projected Bypass road of Huarmey and it is developed in a double track up to km point 369+790, which corresponds to the southern beginning of the future Bypass road of Casma. The length of this section is 70.69 km.

Section 4 begins at km point 206+700, which corresponds to the progressive start of the Concession, developing the widening of the existing road to km point 292+137, which corresponds to the southern beginning of the future Bypass road of Huarmey. This section has a track length of 85.44 km. In this section is located the pipeline owned by Compañía Minera Antamina, which transports ore to the Port of Huarmey. Their facilities are arranged on both sides of the existing road, crossing it up to eight times between the progressive km point 235+000 to km point 287+000.

One of the sectors of this Antamina pipeline has been saved via the construction of a pergola, being the first structure of this type to be built in Peru.

In addition to the assistance for the construction of the second roadway, the supervision of files and works of several complementary works has been carried out, including 7 ovals, one overpass, 3 bypasses (Huarmey, Casma and Virú) and 3 bridges.
