Spain has one of the most extensive and developed railway networks in the world. The Spanish Railway Infrastructures Administrator (ADIF) manages 15,400 km (3,300 km of which are high speed rail) and 1,900 stations. This expansion process has provided URCI with the opportunity to develop projects and gain valuable experience in the rail sector.
URCI develops engineering services for the design and supervision of railway works, both inter-city and metropolitan. The department specializing in this business area deals with the global management of large projects, planning and coordinating tasks in a way that allows meeting the strictest client’s requirements, with rigorous internal systems of quality advice.

Having obtained this experience in its country of origin, URCI is involved in an export process to other regions of the world in order to contribute to the railway development where it operates.
Among the projects carried out by URCI are platform projects and site supervision and control on both high-speed and subway lines. URCI participates throughout the project cycle, from the first stage of infrastructure planning to the site supervision.
