On November 8, 2018, PROVÍAS NACIONAL awarded URCI CONSULTORES S. L. SUCURSAL DEL PERU the Consulting Process contract to draft the Final Study of the Project for the «Construction of Santa Rosa Bridge, Accesses, Rotunda and Overpass, Callao Region». This contract (143-2018-MTC/20.2) was signed on December 10, 2018 with a budget of S/2,083,001.84 and a duration of 180 calendar days.

The intervention is located in Callao District, Callao Constitutional Province, Callao Region, concerning Morales Duárez and Santa Rosa Avenues, as well as the crossing over the Rimac River and Jorge Chavez International Airport (AIJCH) surrounding area, affecting national routes PE20-B and PE20-I.

The new structure will connect both banks of the Rimac River, giving continuity to the PE-20I Route, which will establish the connection with Jorge Chávez International Airport’s New Terminal. It is located on the National Road Network, PE-20I Route, km 0+000, Stretch of road: Emp. PE-20B (Av. Morales Duárez) – Av. Santa Rosa – Emp. CL-100 (Av. Costanera), Callao District, Callao Constitutional Province, Callao Region.

The execution of the project complements the international airport expansion, so both actions must be coordinated between the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the airport operator, Lima Airport Partners (LAP).
